Scout Progams

Because Scouting is an important part of community life, Fort Hunter offers  The Pennsylvania Indians’ Festival Scout Hour (first Sunday in October), programming tailored specifically for Scouts.

Offered exclusively for Scouts, by pre-registration only, a special hour is set aside for Scouts from noon-1 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Indians Festival. Limited to the first 350 Scouts registered.  Don’t miss your exclusive access to 14 premier demonstrators specializing in the daily life of Pennsylvania Indians.  Even better, your admission to the Scout Hour entitles you to continue your Indian adventure at the public portion of the festival from 1-4 p.m.

You and your Scout group will have the freedom to roam from station to station, allowing your individual interests to be your guide.  Throw a hunting stick, learn about authentic beading and see early fire making.  The demonstration stations will be nestled among the historic buildings of Fort Hunter.

You will find convenient, free parking, a museum shop with items related to Native American life, modern restroom facilities, concession stand, picnic pavilions, picnic tables and playgrounds.
