Built on a bluff overlooking the Susquehanna River, Fort Hunter Mansion and Park has served as a war fort, a hub for frontier commerce, and an exclusive private estate. Now preserved and open to the public, Fort Hunter Mansion and Park invites you to explore Pennsylvania's rich history.
Decorated for Christmas, fresh greens and fruits, dried materials and fresh flowers provided by the Civic Committee of the Garden Club of Harrisburg decorate the Mansion in Victorian elegance. Open every day but Monday, December 1 through 23, guided tours highlight holiday trimmings and customs. The Museum Shop is stocked with tasteful and unique Christmas ideas and is open during museum hours for timely holiday shopping.
