Celebrate fall with a festival celebrating the old-time ways of life.

See a Butterfly Habitat Demonstration, Arts & Craft Show, the Honey Bee Queen, the Family Dairy Cow, Chalk Art Demonstration, Antique Tractors and Fire Engines, Old-time Wagon & tools, Children’s Hands-On Activities, Pumpkin Dessert Baking Contest, McAllister Walking Tour at 1 p.m., Hay Rides, Carriage Rides, Pony Rides, Children’s Old-time Game & Play Area, Archaeology Excavation & Interpretation, Pretzel Purveyors, Mansion Tours for $3, 1700’s Country Squire – Dave Biser, Quilt Exhibit by the African American Quilters Gathering of Harrisburg and children’s crafts.

Enjoy music on the Corncrib Stage.  From 10am – noon hear the Susquehanna Folk Music Jam Shop, from 12 – 1, Howard and the Islanders, 1 – 2 Indian Summer Jars and from 2 – 4 Dave Brown & The Dishonest Fiddlers.

Look for music in Heckton Church throughout the day.  Mary Ann Guerrisi will play her violin from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., the Saint Thomas Dulcimer Society from 12 – 2 p.m.and Jim Thorn performing folk and space tunes from 2 – 4 p.m.

Around the park encounter strolling musicians Gent’s Night Out Barbershop Quartet and David Weisman playing the bagpipe.

See old-time crafts such as native foods, antique clockwork, apple butter making, spinning and weaving, quilting, English paper piecing, soap making, open hearth cooking, woodworking, lace making and beekeeping demonstrated.
