Support the Fort

Fort Hunter depends on its members, donors, and volunteers.

Through financial donations, volunteer work, and loyal patronage, the Friends of Fort Hunter help make the Park’s preservation possible. Their efforts have allowed for the restoration of key features of the Mansion and Park, as well as the development of new educational and recreational programs for visitors.

But the Friends of Fort Hunter can’t do it alone. They need your support to continue their important work. By becoming a member or volunteering, you can help preserve this important piece of history and ensure that it remains accessible and enjoyable for future generations.

Fort Hunter maintains a lending library Book Basket on the front porch of the Mansion during warm weather months to read a story with little ones.  Consider donating a book to the collection, several books are available for purchase from the Fort Hunter Museum Shop.
