DESCRIPTION:‘Tis the season to make a Christmas tree mosaic! Learn to make a beautiful 10″ tall Christmas tree mosaic in this workshop hosted by Amanda from Mosaic Montage. This is a beginner-level workshop\, no prior experience is needed. During the class\, you will get to pick from multiple shades of machine-tumbled stained glass to create your one-of-a-kind decorated Christmas tree. You will have an array of beautiful greens for your tree\, warm browns for the base\, and bright and cheery yellows for your star. You can also add some Christmas bulbs or a string of lights to your tree with multi-colored rhinestones. You will learn the basics of making a mosaic to create your work of art. Since the glass is machine-tumbled\, it is sea glass smooth and safe to handle. You will be able to take your tree home with you at the end of the class. Live music will be provided on the West Lawn where you can enjoy your lunch\, the view of the river\, and the musical performance by local artist\, Keith Engle. *Please note: when purchasing your ticket\, you are reserving your lunch pick-up time. I.e. 12:30pm tickets have a lunch pick-up window between 12:30pm and 1:00 pm. Guests are welcome to enjoy the music before and after lunch pick-up. \n“Lunch\, Live Music\, and Mansion Tour”: $23\nFor just a few dollars more\, you can get everything included with the “Lunch and Live Music” ticket plus a tour of the Fort Hunter Mansion. During the tour\, you will learn about the McAllister and Reily families that built and lived in the historic building\, a travel destination along the Susquehanna River. After your tour\, you can pick up your picnic lunch and be serenaded by local fiddle player\, Keith Engle\, who will help visitors connect with the McAllisters’ Celtic roots. *Please note: when purchasing your ticket\, you are reserving your tour time. I.e. 12:30pm tickets have a 12:30pm tour time with lunch pick-up immediately after the conclusion of the tour. SUMMARY:Art Heals: Mosaic Montage Cactus
DESCRIPTION:Get creative and hands-on as you design your own unique cactus mosaic. This is a beginner-level workshop hosted by Amanda from Mosaic Montage\, and no prior experience is needed. During the class\, you will be given a 10” tall painted wood cactus cut out and a washable water-based glue. You will get to pick from many shades of green machine-tumbled glass\, as well as every other color of the rainbow for your cactus’s pot. You can pick one color or all of them! You will learn the basics of making a mosaic and about the supplies needed to create your work of art. Since the glass is machine-tumbled\, it is sea glass smooth and safe to handle. You will be able to take your cactus home with you at the end of the class. All materials needed for this workshop will be supplied to you as part of your registration fee. The class length is approximately 2 hours. The class is appropriate for those age 8 and older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
